It's been a while and I decided to try blogging again. Believe it or not we actually do want contact with the outside world. The good news is that there are only 4 1/2 weeks until school is out and then we are officially out of quarantine.
We had a really great Easter. Saturday my parents surprised us for a visit and were able to join in our Easter egg hunt. This was Abigail and Amelia's first egg hunt and they loved it although afterwards they did nothing but steal each other's eggs as Amelia would scream "NO ABI! NO ABI!".

Sunday was a peaceful day, and it was my turn to go to church. There was one talk that really struck me. The speaker started by sharing how she didn't like winter time and how much she looked forward to Spring when nature becomes alive again with new plants and animals. She then compared our lives to the seasons with Spring being our childhood, Summer being the time we raise our families, Fall being the time when our children move out and grandchildren may come, with Winter being the last part of our lives, when all dies. She then stated how depressing winter would be if we didn't know that Spring was around the corner. Likewise how blessed are we to know of the reality of Jesus Christ's resurrection and that for us all there will be Spring again when we too will reunite our spirits with our bodies. She went on talking about how most of us deal with physical or health challenges either directly or through someone we love and reminded us that in the resurrection all will be restored to their perfect frame. This talk really impressed me, for one I've never been so anxious for Spring to come since we have been quarantined since September. Secondly, seeing the health challenges that my children face, especially Amelia with Cerebral Palsy, and it was a good reminder that this too shall pass.
