For all of my avid followers, I thought it was about time to update the old blog. I can't believe we're basically through July. This is what we've been up to.
Giant bubbles, so cool (recipe
here).
Spent a couple of nights in Park City at the beautiful Westgate Resorts. We rode the gondola up the mountain and took a little hike, swam, had the kid's faces painted, and watched movies in our suite.
My mom spent a couple of fun-filled weeks with us. It was wonderful to have extra help. She helped me clean house and taught Natalie how to knit. While here, we went to the lavender farms, celebrated Pioneer Day (see below), had a dinner up the canyon, and she also watched the kids for a day so that Jared and I could go on a date. We also worked a lot on the framing the basement. My dad also came down for a day as well to help Jared with the basement. We're trying to get the kids involved in building the basement, the picture below shows them carrying wood and lowering it through the basement window. One of the kid's favorite activities is hammering nails into scrap blocks of wood while Jared works.
We had a wonderful Pioneer Day celebration last week. We went to the Spanish Fork parade in the morning, held our own pioneer trek in the afternoon, and watched a movie in our backyard at night.
