Easter & Spring Break

Spring break is just about at its end.  This is what we've been up to:

- Camille's family came and spent a couple of days here.  We picniced at  Bridal Veil Falls and also went to the Provo Beach Resort where we played on the giant indoor playground and  Camille and Ian climbed through the ropes course.

I attended a very nice bridal shower for Christina (my nephew Tim’s fiancée). She has such a nice family!

- Went to a super surprise party for my mom's 69th birthday. We had a great meal, an Easter egg hunt, and took family pictures.  My mom was completely surprised (maybe because she was expecting to babysit while Rich and Veronica rushed Lili to the hospital with a broken leg!).

-Easter Sunday we attended church with my parents and later had a great dinner with John & Candis's family. We played one of our family favorite games, Canasta, which we haven't played for so long, it was so much fun.

-Easter night we had a terrible fright as my 2 1/2 year old neice Hazel had an extremely severe reaction to some easter candy (peanut allergy).  She started out with hives breaking out all over her body, about an hour later she was vomitting, then she became lethargic and deathly pale and blue around her mouth.  Two shots from some Epipens and a trip to the ER saved her life.  Sometimes I get a little lax about the kid's food allergies (Thomas to peanuts, the twins to eggs) however this was so scary that it taught us all that it is definitely not worth the risk.

- Monday we stopped by the new City Creek Center Mall in downtown SLC (beautiful).

- Tuesdsay we worked in the yard, went on a bike ride and picniced and caught bugs (with the kids new net and bug vacuum) at the Lavender Farms.

- Wednesday we took the kids out for bowling & pizza.  It was their first time bowling and they loved it.

-Thursday Jared and I hired our first babysitter, went to the temple and out to eat at Café Habaneros.

-Today Abigail & Amelia went to Dr. Peterson’s for their 3year well check.  They are getting taller (Abigail is actually at the 13th percentile for height, Amelia is 2”shorter which puts her at the .71percentile, probably because of her CP), still skinny but consistent (21lbs Abi which is off the charts, and 21.6lbs Amelia which is the .02 percentile).

I love watching that clip of mom! Thanks again for a great spring break! We love the Toones. Ian wants to go back to the ropes course with his cousin Carson for his birthday!

Great photos and great footage of mom's surprise. Hopefully I'll get the photos done soon. We loved seeing you guys!!! Thanks for your help with Hazel. Don't know what I would have done without you. Love you! Vero

Looks like you had a fabulous time! We never ended up getting out of the car near Bridal Veil and I regret that. So great that your kids had so much fun with their cousins!

Wow about the babysitter! I've never had a babysitter except immediate family members - I'm all freaked out/scared/feel guilty about it! Great job!
