It's hard to believe that these two girls are really three years old! We celebrated their birthday yesterday with their Grandma and Grandpa Shupe. Abigail was delighted to get her own set of legos (as was Thomas so that Abigail will no longer sneak into his bedroom and destroy his creations). Amelia was excited to have a new very sturdy and stable stroller that she can walk with.
Three years ago we didn't even know if these girls were going to survive. In wondering why our girls were having the challenges they faced so early in life, the scripture came to my mind from John 9:3 where Jesus answers the disciples' question as to why a man was born blind He says "that the works of God should be made manifest in him". I believe strongly that we have seen the works of God in these beautiful girls and will continue to see His hand through them.
