Amelia had an evaluation for Hippotherapy at Courage Reins (Lehi) a couple of weeks ago. We have been blessed to be able to get a grant to cover the therapy from the Untited Healthcare Children's Foundation. We were a bit nervous to enroll Amelia because she is young and we were worried she'd fight us to get on the horse each week. However, Amelia loves, loves, loves her horse Solmani and can't wait to go back. The therapy consists of more than just riding a horse; they put Amelia in different sitting positions (backwards, sidesaddle) and have her reach for things. The therapy will hopefully improve Amelia's balance and open up her hips, as well as helping her brain make certain connections from the horse's gait.

Wonderful! What a blessing!
She looks so happy! Can't wait to talk to her about it in Yellowstone!
