I love Yuba lake with it's deserted sandy beach and gradual drop off. This year however, our trip was cut short, starting out as a fun day in the sun for about a ½ hour, and then the wind picked up and pretty much blew us home—lesson learned, make sure wind is not in the forecast.
Last Thursday we did have a really nice outing to Payson Lakes. We joined my parents and nephews Carter and Jacob to canoe, picnic, and fish (we caught 2 small trout). Amelia had a wonderful time walking around with her walker and together the twins probably ate half a watermelon. The weather was nice until the afternoon when the smoke and ash from the wildfire in Delta came in.
